A little help getting settled.

Get started

Download HomeShine from the App Store. Sign in using your usual Apple or Google account, then create a household or accept an invitation. Give your profile a name so housemates can recognise your tasks.

Create and share a chore

Open Tasks and add a task. Give it a title, choose an assignee and add a due date if needed. Rooms, categories and checklist steps are optional. Standard repeat schedules suit regular jobs; advanced routines and templates will require Plus.

Switch households

Tap the household switcher beside your profile avatar, then choose the home you want to view. Each household has its own chores, shopping and members.

Start Quick Tidy

Open the Quick Tidy card on Home. Choose 5, 10 or 15 minutes and start. Enable timer alerts if you want to be notified when the session ends.

Set up a daily summary

Open Settings → Notifications → Your daily check-in. Enable Task reminders and Daily summary, then choose a time. Daily summaries will require Plus; notifications also require your iPhone’s permission.

Manage themes and avatars

Open Settings → Themes & Avatars. Choose an included option or preview a downloadable pack. In version 1.2.1, Plus themes open the subscription page when access is required. Installed downloads can be removed; removing an avatar currently in use returns your profile to initials.

Restore or manage Plus

After Plus launches, open HomeShine Plus and tap Restore Purchases using the Apple Account that made the purchase. Manage or cancel renewals through your App Store subscription settings. Signing out of HomeShine or deleting its account does not cancel a subscription.
